The Last FreakShow (2005)

" A delightfully sticky pudding of fear, fun, voyeurism, prurient curiosity and downright bad taste."

Originally made in collaboration with Graeae in 1999, written by Mike Kenny and the orginal cast, with music by Mat Fraser this work had a profound impact on audiences and players.

It was a show where current 'Freaks' paid homage to their theatrical antecedents, looked at the human stories behind the exhibits and stared back at their audiences.

The new show reinvents the work for a new generation of disabled performers and audiences. It takes these characters back out on tour in a promenade performance, with an integral exhibition of 'genuine' freak artifacts and paraphernalia and live music, played out in site specific venues.
