Flesh 'n Steel (2003)
"He's old, he stinks and you could make a whole person out of the bits he's got missing. And he's not finished yet!"
The true and unexpurgated history of Mr John Silver master mariner as told to Mr Robert Stevenson in the year of our Lord 1866.
This operatic farrago of lost treasure, lost limbs, buggery, bigamy and a writer whose not sure if he really is Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde was written by Mike Kenny, a long time collaborator with Fittings('The Fly’ and 'The Last Freak Show) and played out in an installation designed by performance artist Michael Mayhew.
It toured nationally in the autumn of 2003 and continued the Company’s work in exploring legendary characters both fact and fiction from the history of disabled people..
